About EFM

A unique community where faith and fitness unite to strengthen both body and spirit.

Empowered Fitness Ministry (EFM) is a welcoming community where people of all fitness levels can come together to strengthen both their bodies and their faith. We meet every Saturday from 9:00-11:00 AM, creating a space where you can grow stronger physically and spiritually.

Led by Josh March and supported by a passionate team, EFM began as a monthly gathering and is now expanding to weekly sessions. We believe that honoring our bodies through movement and strength training is an important part of honoring God.

Our vision is to function as a micro church, offering a unique space for spiritual growth, evangelism, and fellowship that goes beyond fitness. Whether you’re new to faith, new to fitness, or experienced in both, you’ll find a supportive community here.

What To Expect

Each 90-minute session includes three core components designed to strengthen your body, mind, and spirit.

Workout designed for all fitness levels

Come as you are. Every workout can be adapted to your unique needs.

Our certified fitness coaches design sessions that challenge experienced athletes while remaining accessible to beginners. Every exercise includes modifications, so you never have to worry about “keeping up” or feeling out of place.

Relevant Teaching

Relaxed and relevant teaching that relates to your day-to-day life.

Josh March leads most of our weekly teachings, with occasional guest speakers. Our messages connect Scripture to everyday challenges, offering practical wisdom for your spiritual journey. No theological background is needed — just an open heart.

Community

People to pray with you and encourage you as you navigate your journey in faith and fitness.

At EFM, you’ll find genuine connections with others who share your commitment to strengthening your body and spirit. We pray together, encourage each other, and celebrate victories both big and small.

Our Core Values

Three principles guide everything we do at Empowered Fitness Ministry.

FAITH

Honor God in all that we do with love, gratitude, and service. We believe that spiritual wellness is foundational to all other aspects of health.

FITNESS

Honor our bodies through movement and strength training. We believe our bodies are temples to be respected, strengthened, and cared for.

Community

Honor all people and meet them where they are. We create a family atmosphere where everyone belongs, regardless of background or ability.

Absolutely not! Our workouts are designed for all fitness levels, and we provide modifications for every exercise. Our coaches will guide you through each movement and help you adapt the workout to your current fitness level.

Wear comfortable athletic clothing and supportive shoes. Bring a water bottle and towel. If you have a yoga mat, you’re welcome to bring it, but we have extras available. Most importantly, bring a positive attitude and an open heart!

EFM sessions are completely free! We believe that financial status shouldn’t limit wellness opportunities, so there is no charge to participate. We occasionally accept donations for special events or equipment, but these are entirely voluntary.

Absolutely! Our community is built on the principle of meeting people where they are. Many of our members were once new to either faith, fitness, or both. There’s no expectation of prior knowledge or experience—just a willingness to grow.

While regular attendance helps build community and consistency in your fitness journey, we understand that life happens! Come when you can, and you’ll always be welcomed. Each session stands alone, so you won’t feel lost if you miss a week.

EFM functions as a micro church under the oversight of Grace Community Church of Willow Street (gccws.net). While we welcome people from all church backgrounds (or no church background), our theological foundation aligns with traditional Christian beliefs as expressed in the Apostles’ Creed.
